About

We’re a couple that loves to eat.  And drink.

We have no professional qualifications, though S is a talented cook.  Our eating experiences have been fairly broad.  S is a Stockholm native who has travelled fairly extensively.  L is a product of the American Midwest, who travels every chance she gets.  As you may have guessed, S and L are a couple.

We met while living in Heidelberg, Germany.  A year later we were living together in Florence, Italy.  Presently, we live in Stockholm, Sweden, S’s hometown.

That means we can speak fairly authoritatively about German, Italian, Swedish, and American (or at least Midwestern) food.

We have three goals with this blog:

  1. We want to challenge ourselves to try new places.
  2. We want to expose local readers to new restaurants they might enjoy.
  3. We want to help tourists in the city find good, reasonably priced food.

We would love to hear your feedback and recommendations.  Feel free to leave a comment anytime.

    This review is about
Ristorante Capri and my visit there on New years day. It is interesting reading and a first for me. The address of this place is below

    Nybrogatan 17
    Östermalm

I went to this restaurant new years day with my girlfriend. Place was a little cold inside but had a good atmosphere. Nice Italian place really. The service was typical ITALIAN RESTAURANT-didnt see the waiter, didnt ask us how our meal was..the usual. But nothing was expected. Food was very nice. Pricey as ya can find the same elsewhere for alot cheaper but all in all the food was good.
The fun started when we were leaving. I dont believe in tipping for a service when there is no service provided other than the basic-bringing you the bill and the food.
So on my out I was confronted by the waiter who mumbled something in swedish and then said “fitt javla”..which to the non swedish speaker means. I dont wish to post the english here as it might screen it for bad language but think of BUCK and CUT with an N after the U. My girlfriend who is swedish was in shock as she told me what it meant! This is what is to be expected from this place. A mix of swedish and italian arrogance. Probably the worst mix & place on the planet!

Will not be back needless to say!!
    Michael
